NephroPlus, India's largest dialysis chain, said it has raised $103 million (₹860 crore) in a Series F funding round from Quadria Capital through a mix of fresh capital infusion and a secondary sale aimed at driving expansion plans within India and targeted markets overseas. The primary component is ₹100 crore. Quadria will become a minority shareholder post the latest round of funding which valued NephroPlus at more than ₹2,000 crore. Quadria will have a slightly higher stake than Bahrain-based Investcorp, which was the largest shareholder in the company prior to the latest round at 35-40%.

REC surged 9.5 percent in intra-day deals today, May 2 to hit a new high of ₹555.45 on the back of strong March quarter (Q4FY24) results. Including today's rally, the stock has extended gains for the eighth straight session, soaring 30.5 percent in this period. The PSU (public sector undertaking) company posted a 33 percent year-on-year (YoY) jump in its consolidated net profit in the quarter under review to ₹4,079 crore, helped by healthy growth in core income and a provision write-back.

ICICI Bank, the second largest non-state lender by assets in India, on Saturday reported a better-than-expected 17% increase in net profit for the fourth quarter, helped by strong demand for loans and lower provisions. The Mumbai-based bank posted a net profit of ₹10,707.5 crore for the quarter ended March 31, compared with the average estimate of ₹10,489 crore by analysts tracked by Bloomberg.

Faridabad Court has issued another notice against Sandeep Maheshwari for allegedly making comments despite restrictions imposed by the court in the Vivek Bindra case. In its orders on December 22, 2023, and February 5, 2024, the court prohibited both parties from making negative remarks or engaging in campaigns against each other, whether online or offline. Arvind Kejriwal, who is in Tihar jail, will meet two ministers each week and review the progress of the work in their departments, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said. Arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21, Kejriwal is currently in judicial custody. Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the medical bail plea of Prabir Purkayastha, Newsclick founder and Editor-in-Chief, lodged in Tihar jail under anti-terror law, for April 22. A bench of Justices BR Gavai and Sandeep Mehta adjourned to next Monday the plea of Purkayashta, seeking bail on medical ground, as senior advocate Kapil Sibal representing him was unavailable. Lok Sabha polls, former party MLA Pawan Kumar Tinu on Sunday joined the AAP here. Tinu is likely to be the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat, said party sources. He also said natural gas should come under the goods and services tax (GST) regime, production-linked incentive (PLI) should be extended to LNG-powered vehicles and GST on CNG-powered vehicles should be slashed to 5% from 28%, on a par with electric vehicles (EVs). AAP leader Sandeep Pathak on Wednesday said Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate last month, is the Delhi Chief Minister and will continue to hold the post, ruling out that he will resign. He alleged that part of the conspiracy of BJP was that they would first arrest Kejriwal and say he should resign and then try to break the AAP.
