US Election: Kamala Harris leads Donald Trump in several battleground states, various polls say
Kamala Harris has taken the lead over her Republican presidential rival Donald Trump in several key battleground states like Arizona, Michigan and Pennsylvania, according to various polls released here. Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, enjoys a slight lead over former president Trump in Michigan, as per the latest poll released by UMass Lowell's Center for Public Opinion and YouGov. Harris is slightly leading 48 per cent to 43 per cent in the Great Lakes State against Trump, it said. «For a swing state, this margin is good news for the vice president's campaign,» Rodrigo Castro Cornejo, UMass Lowell political science assistant professor and Center for Public Opinion associate director, said. If Trump wants to beat this margin, he has an uphill battle to fight in the Great Lakes State. «The Trump campaign,» Castro Cornejo said, «has a negative favorability in Michigan that needs to be overcome if they want to remain competitive in the state.»

If Trump focuses on this key issue, then he will win the US elections, says longtime GOP pollster
Donald Trump needs to focus on some of the key American issues in recent times, and promise the nation that he will work on them after coming to power. Only then can the former US President be elected to the White House by Americans, who are this time, searching for the candidate who will take forward the true vision of America. US elections: The new MAGA goal should be focusing on pressing issues United States is plagued with a number of crisis at this point, and one which tops it all off is the impending recession and its effect on the US economy. The stock markets and jobs data have already started reacting to recession fears, and even though inflation levels are falling to the normal baseline, recession fears is being driven up by majority of other factors including increasing unemployment rates. The US Fed Reserve went as far as introducing a whopping 50 bps rate cut but that could stop the bleeding for now, and if Trump really comes to power, he has to immediately begin planning necessary remedies to counter the root causes of an incoming recession.

Third Eye: For some, it's internal matter & JMM’s advice to Odisha’s BJP govt
For some, it's internal matter While European diplomats got a taste of vibrant democratic process and free and fair elections in Jammu & Kashmir, some of India's close partners in Central Asia and Gulf were not part of the endeavour. They treat elections in the Union Territory as India's internal matter and have 'full trust and faith' in India's position and democratic journey. These countries are strong supporters of India's fight against terrorism. Jha’s Connection with AKD & Team Hours after Sri Lankan presidential election results were announced, Anura Kumara Dissanayake met Indian high commissioner Santosh Jha in Colombo last Sunday. Jha was the first envoy whom the new president met. On the very next day, Jha was the first envoy whom the incoming PM met. South Asia is often key testing grounds for diplomats and Jha, who has also served in Colombo in the past, has strong connections cutting across party lines in the island nation.

If elected, will Kamala Harris be the most foul-mouthed president in US history?
Kamala Harris will become the most obnoxious US president in history. It doesn't seem like the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies Legislative Summit is the right place for the woman who aspires to be the next head of state to use profanity. However, that is precisely what transpired in May when US Vice President Kamala Harris spoke to a group of young Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. A few weeks before Joe Biden declared he would not run for reelection, Harris stated that you have to know that sometimes people will open the door for you and leave it open. Sometimes they won't, in which case you have to kick down that door, followed by a cuss word. Her audience at that point in time clapped and laughed, whereas a few decades ago they might have gasped or taken in the expletive silently. Harris later apologized for her language. However, it wasn't the first time the Democratic presidential candidate had used a four-letter word in public, and it won't be the last.
