DC Studios movie Superman. The footage, which was first unveiled at CinemaCon 2025 earlier this week, features David Corenswet as Clark Kent or Superman. The almost five-minute long clip gives a glimpse of Superman’s Fortress of Solitude. The movie is set to release on July 11 this year. James Gunn was earlier associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and directed The Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

Salman Khan’s Sikandar has seen a further drop in its earnings. The movie, which released on March 30, has witnessed declining box office collections since Eid. On Thursday, April 3, Sikandar saw a fall of 41.03 percent in its collection. As per Sacnilk, Sikandar grossed Rs 5.75 crore on April 3, bringing its total domestic earnings to Rs 90 crore.

Manoj Kumar, the veteran Indian actor known for his patriotic films, passed away in Mumbai on April 4. He was 86. The actor was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital since February 21. He suffered a massive heart attack and had been under treatment for decompensated liver cirrhosis. According to a family member, the cremation will take place at Pavan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai on Saturday in the presence of close family members.

Manoj Kumar, the legendary actor and filmmaker celebrated for his patriotic roles, passed away at the age of 87. Fondly known as «Bharat Kumar,» he breathed his last at 4:03 am on April 4, 2025, at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025, and has since been under medical care.

Mickey 17, directed by Bong Joon Ho, will soon be available for home viewing. Warner Bros. has announced that the sci-fi film will be released digitally on April 8, with physical copies arriving on May 13.

Business of word play- Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday spoke about the government's attempt to revive BSNL. After he completed his reply during question hour in the Rajya Sabha, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said that BSNL now means 'Bhai Sahab Nishchit Lagega' while in the past people used to criticise BSNL for poor connection by mocking it as 'Bhai Sahab Nahi Lagega'. Joe Rogan has ridiculed Disney’s Snow White remake after its disappointing box office debut. He suggested that Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) should probe its production costs. The film, as per reports, had a budget of around $250 million but earned just $43 million at its opening weekend across the United States and Canada. In the second week of its running, the film saw a steep decline of 66 per cent in viewers. The film has become one of Disney’s biggest box office failures in recent years. As per reports, during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, comedian Kurt Metzger joined Rogan in dissecting the film’s downfall. Playing the footage of CGI dwarfs, Rogan said that it looked bad and did not look real at all. Responding to his comments, Metzger said that the makers put it all on the lead actor, Rachel Zegler. He said that her performance might not have been great, but that she’s young. He commented that Zegler did not write the script and that she did not decide to remove the dwarves. He added that Peter Dinklage did.

Talking about The Odyssey, Jim Orr, the distribution chief of Universal Pictures called the project “a visionary, once-in-a-generation cinematic masterpiece that Homer himself would quite likely be proud of,” Variety reported.

Khalid Rahman’s upcoming Malayalam sports comedy Alappuzha Gymkhana has got a release date. The movie, which stars Naslen in the lead, will hit theatres worldwide on April 10. The makers made the announcement on April 2, at the launch of Alappuzha Gymkhana’s second song, Panchara Punch. The movie will compete with Basil Joseph’s Maranamass and Mammootty’s Bazooka at the box office. Alappuzha Gymkhana will also face stiff competition from Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan. The Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial has been going strong at the box office since its release last month.

Mansoor Khan directorial, which hit the theatres in 2000, featured Khan and Rai as siblings and was an unofficial adaptation of the 1961 American musical ‘West Side Story.’ The movie went on to become a modest success at the box-office, and Shah Rukh received critical acclaim for his performance as Max Dias, a delinquent youth who leads a gang. In an interview with PTI, Mansoor Khan revealed that his cousin, superstar Aamir Khan, was initially supposed to be a part of the movie, but he backed out when his wish to step into the shoes of Max was declined. Mansoor revealed that Aamir was offered to play the role of Aishwarya’s love interest, Rahul, which he turned down.

Fawad Khan is all set to make a comeback to Hindi cinema after nine years. Ahead of Abir Gulaal’s release, there has been some controversy regarding Fawad Khan and allowing Pakistani artists to work in Indian films despite tensions between the two countries. The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has said that it will oppose the release of the film. Ameya Khopkar, the president of the MNS' cinema wing, said that the party will not let Abir Gulaal release in Maharashtra, PTI reported. While the controversy around Abir Gulaal continues, there are some films Fawad Khan fans can watch on OTT before the movie releases.
