According to the FBI papers, Britain’s Secretary of State for War, John Profumo had an affair with model Christine Keeler. The model was seeing Russian naval attache Eugene Ivanov at the same time. It was Stephen Ward, who had introduced Keeler to the two men, Keeler’s friend Mandy Rice-Davies. The FBI got the information that Prince Philip was involved with both Keeler and Rice-Davies.
The Mail has reported that Thomas Corbally, a U.S. businessman involved in industrial espionage, talked about Philip and made the startling revelations.
Media reports also suggest an episode in 'The Crown', in which a man photographed with his back to the camera in a party photograph is seen, and the question was asked if he was the Duke of Edinburgh. In 'The Crown' the queen can be seen being told that Ward had drawn Philip and that Philip had been a frequent guest at Ward’s gatherings.
