Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 5.83%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 1.83%), Madras Fertlizers(up 1.70%), Paradeep Phosphates(up 1.63%), Agro Phos(up 1.16%), Aries Agro(up 0.87%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 0.70%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.65%), G S F C(up 0.62%) and Sikko Industries(up 0.60%) were among the top gainers.Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.15%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.67%) and Coromandel International(down 0.16%) were among the top losers. The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 161.7 points up at 19546.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 586.56 points at 65980.46 at around 10:19AM.

Tata Consultancy(up 2.85%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.73%), LTIMindtree Ltd(up 2.38%), Infosys(up 2.26%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.77%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.67%), SBI Life(up 1.6%), Tata Steel(up 1.26%), Britannia Industries(up 1.26%) and Wipro(up 1.22%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.92%), Coal India(down 0.96%), UPL Ltd(down 0.61%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.52%), NTPC(down 0.45%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.38%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.24%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.22%), Eicher Motors(down 0.17%) and Bharti Airtel(down 0.01%) were trading in the red.
