Stock market update: FMCG stocks mixed as market rises

Bikaji Foods International(up 8.94%), Sheetal Cool Products(up 5.00%), Gillette India(up 1.80%), Patanjali Foods(up 1.42%), Bajaj Consumer(up 1.15%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 1.15%), P & G Hygiene(up 0.88%), Dangee Dums(up 0.74%), Jyothy Labs(up 0.68%) and Parag Milk(up 0.55%) were among the top gainers. Prataap Snacks(down 1.17%), Heritage Foods(down 0.77%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 0.77%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.75%), Nestle India(down 0.57%), Adani Wilmar(down 0.38%), Zydus Wellness(down 0.33%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.31%), Vadilal Industries(down 0.19%) and Dabur India(down 0.19%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 18.45 points up at 19767.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 58.69 points at 66853.83 at around 11:01AM. NTPC(up 4.16%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.91%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.31%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.23%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.77%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.7%), State Bank of India(up 0.67%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.61%), Bajaj Finserv(up 0.59%) and UltraTech Cement(up 0.51%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
