Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises

Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(up 3.91%), Uttam Sugar Mills(up 2.84%), BAJAJHIND(up 2.41%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(up 2.15%), AVADHSUGAR(up 2.08%), Balrampur Chini Mills(up 1.58%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(up 1.50%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(up 1.08%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(up 0.95%) and Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 0.93%) stood among the top gainers. DCM Shriram Industries(down 2.21%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 0.58%), MAGADHSUGAR(down 0.24%) and EID Parry(down 0.20%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 150.75 points up at 19564.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 502.01 points at 66060.9. Tata Consultancy(up 5.21%), Tech Mahindra(up 4.54%), Infosys(up 4.46%), LTIMindtree Ltd(up 4.08%), HCL Technologies(up 3.8%), Eicher Motors(up 2.76%), Wipro(up 2.73%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.7%), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.06%) and Tata Steel(up 2.0%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
