American Gladiators, the popular competition series, is coming back. It will be featured on Amazon Prime Video in the US. This upcoming series is produced by MGM Alternative and Amazon MGM Studios in association with Flor-Jon Films and Johnny C Ferraro who is the executive producer. This competition series was well received in the past when it was launched. This has been reported by Deadline.

What is the ‘American Gladiator’?
It is considered to be one of the early competition series. It involved putting a bunch of amateur athletes against each other as well as the show’s own gladiators in a series of tough obstacle courses, which are challenging both physically and mentally.

This new series will include some classic competitions, such as Gauntlet, Hang Tough and the Eliminator.
Across the Atlantic, BBC which had launched the show with a new series of gladiators met with resounding success. They even launched the second series. This has encouraged the makers to relaunch this series in the US.

‘American Gladiator’ was first launched in 1989 and ran till 1996 and it aired weekly. It was created by Johnny C Ferraro and Dan Carr.
