Only a few weeks remain until Despicable Me 4 hits theaters. Illumination, along with Steve Carell, has introduced the «Megaverse.» This concept is an extension of the Minions timeline. It features the five test subjects shown in the latest trailer.
A video was released on Despicable Me 4's official X account. In the video, Carell explains that this animated feature is just the beginning for the super-serum minions. The Megaverse is a series of «projects» featuring the Mega Minions. Unlike superhero franchises, which only provide titles and release dates, the Megaverse has detailed loglines for each title on the official website.
Upcoming Megaverse Projects
For example, in 2027, a Mega Minions solo film will be released. This film will show the five minions proving themselves worthy to the Anti-Villain League.
