According to the NYPD, violent extremists, be it racially or ethnically motivated or ideologically unaffiliated entities with grievances against the LGBTQIA+ community may see these Pride events in New York as the perfect opportunity to carry out attacks as these are heavily crowded and majorly attended by the LGBT+ community members as well as supporters and sympathizers.

The Pride March will begin this Sunday, 12 pm from 25th Street and Fifth Avenue, New York and will then proceed towards Eight Street, and then Sixth Avenue, says ABC News.
There will also be many other Pride-related events in New York happening throughout the week alongside this epic Pride March that will be attended by top-notch personalities from different spheres of profession who attend this gala event to show their support towards the LGBTQIA+ community.
