Instead of booking expensive flights directly to Prayagraj, he chose round-trip flights to Lucknow, which cost Rs 17,500. From there, he utilized the local metro system to travel between the airport and Alambagh, incurring a minimal expense of Rs 60 for both trips. He then took a UP Volvo bus from Alambagh to Prayagraj, which cost Rs 1,160 for the round trip. For accommodation, he suggested looking for Airbnb rentals, as many locals offer rooms in their homes for rent, often cleaner and more affordable than hotels. He estimated a two-night stay at around Rs 6,000 per person.
Overall, this alternative travel plan brought the total trip cost to Rs 24,660, leaving room for additional expenses such as food and contributions to the local economy during the visit. By saving significantly on airfare, he was able to allocate more funds for activities in Prayagraj, emphasizing the importance of spending wisely while supporting local businesses rather than paying inflated airline fees.
