Viraj Bahl is a prominent figure in India’s fast-moving consumer goods sector and the driving force behind Veeba Foods, a leading sauce manufacturer. Since its inception in 2013, Veeba has become a significant player in the Indian food industry. However, Viraj’s rise to success was far from straightforward, marked by resilience and a determination to overcome challenges.
Viraj’s journey in the food industry began during his childhood, inspired by frequent visits to his father’s factory and working at the Fun Foods stall in Aahar, Delhi. Although he was passionate about the family business, his father, Rajiv Bahl, insisted that he first prove his ability to support the family. To meet this challenge, Viraj pursued marine engineering, graduated from Singapore Polytechnic, and secured a well-paying job with a merchant navy company. By 2002, he earned his father’s approval, having met the financial goal of a Rs 3 lakh monthly salary.
