Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.18%
Shares of SOBHA(up 3.75 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 2.9 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.64 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 3.77 per cent), DLF(down 2.09 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 1.87 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.7 per cent) and Godrej Properties(down 1.05 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.18 per cent down at 531.4. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 165.5 points at 19331.8, while the BSE Sensex stood down 505.19 points at 65280.45.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 7 ended in the green, while 43 closed in the red. Shares of Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Reliance Power, PNB and Bank of Maharashtra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
