A fellow motorist noticed the woman balancing her laptop on her lap while driving. They recorded a video, including the car’s licence plate, and shared it online. Though the exact location of the incident is unknown, it quickly caught the attention of the authorities.
Since the woman’s address was registered in their area, the police issued her a notice to appear at the station. «Today (Wednesday), she dropped into our station, and we showed her the video, which went viral on X. Also, we told her how dangerous it was for her and other commuters on the road,» an officer said, as per TOI.
The woman explained that she worked for a private company in BTM Layout and was heading home to RT Nagar. She said she switched on her laptop because she needed to log in on time and feared she wouldn’t reach home soon enough.
