As the BJP heads toward its long-awaited second victory after 27 years, it is expected to breach the 40% vote share mark, leading in nearly 48 seats. This shift, reminiscent of the 1993 elections, can be attributed to the 4Ms—Mahila (women voters), the middle class, MCD elections, and the Sheesh ‘Mahal’ controversy—all of which played a key role in expanding the party’s vote share in 2025.
BJP supporters erupted in celebration outside its Delhi headquarters as the latest counting trends showed the saffron party returning to power in the national capital after more than 26 years with a decisive mandate.
