Ahead of the battle, the Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Jangpura Assembly constituency candidate Tarvinder Singh Marwah had called Manish Sisodia an «outsider» and asked him to vacate it otherwise the AAP leader will «lose his security deposit» in the assembly polls.
Marwah, a three-time former MLA from Jangpura on the Congress ticket, joined the BJP in 2022. AAP has already announced Sisodia from the seat replacing his sitting three-time MLA from the seat Praveen Kumar. «I thank the party leadership for giving me a ticket from the Jangpura Assembly constituency.
