Kanye West sold hakenkreuz (wrongfully referred to as Swastika) shirts on a website that the controversial rapper advertised during the Super Bowl. E-commerce giant Shopify has shut down Kanye West’s Yeezy clothing website, citing violations of its terms of service. The move comes after the website was used earlier this week to feature a $20 white T-shirt adorned with a black hakenkreuz.
On Tuesday, a Shopify spokesperson confirmed to Rolling Stone that it had taken down the rapper’s website for violating its terms.
“All merchants are responsible for following the rules of our platform,” read the statement. “This merchant did not engage in authentic commerce practices and violated our terms so we removed them from Shopify.” Shopify’s terms of service state that it will act “to restrict products or activities that we deem unsafe, inappropriate or offensive.”

In a big blow to Kanye West, rapper's fashion website went offline and he was dropped by his talent agency 33&West, following a series of horrific antisemitic posts and the sale of Nazi swastika T-shirts. Multiple reports suggest, visitors to the site, which was promoted during the Super Bowl, were met with error messages which read, «Something went wrong» and «This store is unavailable.»
